- Abstract
This article discusses a case study of a 75-year-old man who developed isolated body lateropulsion (iBL) after experiencing an acute small infarction in the rostral vermis of the cerebellum. Typically, iBL is caused by brainstem lesions, but this case demonstrates that the rostral vermis can also be a causal lesion for iBL. The patient was treated with dual antiplatelet therapy and anticoagulant medication, and his symptoms improved within a few days. This study highlights the importance of recognizing that lesions in areas other than the brainstem, such as the rostral vermis, can be involved in patients with iBL.
