- Abstract
The article discusses issues related to private enforcement of city planning in the U.S. It has been stated that it is an oft-overlooked method for city officials to enforce land planning laws through the usual penalty procedure. It has been stated that private enforcement could be strengthened through statutory changes. It has been stated that more use of this private means of enforcement has been restricted due to hostility against private citizens. It has been stated that the measure should be used to appropriately place community satisfactions in property ownership.
