- Title
MIGRATORY DIVORCES.
- Authors
GROVES, ERNEST R.
- Abstract
The article discusses the problem of migratory divorce which refers to the process of seeking divorce in another jurisdiction different from the one in which the couple had married. There are factors that support migratory divorces such as liberalism in some states and foreign countries that provide opportunity for an easier divorce. There are divisions of sentiments based on religious, economic, sectional, and cultural background, and the rural or urban environment which forbid the narrow interpretation of migratory divorce legislation that partisans insist upon.
