- Abstract
Stavert I et al i . report the short-term outcomes of 514 consecutive patients following totally extra-peritoneal (TEP) inguinal hernia repair using Parietex ProGrip mesh (Medtronic, Minneapolis, MN, USA).[1] This self-gripping, semi-absorbable mesh is theoretically appealing because it does not require fixation tacks or sutures and therefore might be expected to cause less chronic groin pain than other mesh types. 1 Stavert B, Chan DL, Ozmen J, Loi K. Laparoscopic totally extra-peritoneal groin hernia repair with self-gripping polyester mesh: a series of 780 repairs. 3 Berney CR, Descallar J.
