- Abstract
One of the areas which is very important for our association is EU and NATO is the readiness of R. Macedonia to change the border security and to carry out the integrated border regulation according to EU and NATO standarts. By receiving the status "a candidate for participation" in European Union, Republic of Macedonia accelerated the processes of reformation in all areas for achieving of this strategic aim. In the elaboration "Development and Improvement of Integrated border regulation according to EU and NATO standards" by using a comparative analyeis there's an elaboration at actual questions connected with current reformation processes on activities overtaken by R.M. The central position in this elaboration is given to "National Strategy for Integrated Border Regulation" An important place is also given to the "common platform" which came out from the Regional conference for security and regulation of the borders which took place in Ohrid 22/23 May 2003, between the four partnerships organizations EU, NATO, OBSE, Act for Stability in the Region. In the elaboration there is am attempt to present the cooperation and coordination as key aspects of the concept for integrated border regulation. In this above mentioned elaboration there is a short review to certain aspects of the process of reformations in more authorities involved in this area. There is a short review of the current aspect, and furthermore there is also an elaboration of the questions referring on the future vision according to the recommendation and the best practice.
