- Abstract
The article discusses research on the association between telomere length and obesity. The researchers examined risk factors for cardiovascular disease (CVD) in relation to telomere length in blood cells in a cohort of 989 individuals in the Malmö Diet and Cancer Cohort (MDCC) and the Northern Sweden MONICA project. The findings of the study confirm the association between telomere length and obesity but only in women.
