- Abstract
The article discusses that Woods pointed out the shift toward hypofractionation, which delivers the same treatments in fewer doses with the same or fewer side effects. Topics discussed include the novel treatments in RT is lutetium lu-177, an internal targeted radioactive therapy approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration in 2018 for gastroenteropancreatic neuroendocrine tumors; and the views of ONS member Dorothy Pierce, nurse practitioner of radiation oncology, on it.
