- Abstract
The article focuses on the in vivo wound-healing and anti-inflammatory properties of Melipona beecheii honey, a honey with historical significance in Mexican culture. It reports that M. beecheii honey accelerates wound healing, promotes granulation tissue formation, and reduces inflammation, similar to standard medications like pirfenidone and indomethacin, indicating its potential as a natural wound treatment alternative.
