- Abstract
The article focuses on the use of aboriginal knowledge and Western science to investigate the decrease of fruit production of bush tucker shrub Djutpi Antidesma ghaesembilla near Ngukurr in Northern Territory. It mentions the use of rainfall data and remotely sensed fire scars to determine the possible cause of the production decline. It reveals that the unconventional way of harvesting, wherein branches or the whole plants are removed, is the possible cause of Djutpi production decline.
