Information regarding a seminar on Australian Indigenous psychology and implications for addressing violence in Aboriginal communities held at the Australian Institute of Family Studies on June 11, 2013 is presented. Vickie Hovane, psychologist, practitioner, researcher and advisor from the Broome region of Kimberly in Western Australia, discussed the conceptualization of Australian Indigenous psychology and how to work with individuals and communities.
