- Abstract
The article focuses on the negative results of the corrupt practices of corporations. The author compares the unethical practices of Firestone with the ethical behavior of Johnson & Johnson. Johnson & Johnson had written ethical guidelines but it would appear that Firestone did not. The author states that how an organization chooses to respond when a crisis occurs defines the character of the management and the organization as a whole. Also commented on is the importance of earning a good reputation. INSET: Key Questions For Directors.
