- Title
Enabling new frontiers of nanophotonics with metamaterials, photonic crystals, and plasmonics.
- Authors
Badloe, Trevon; Rho, Junsuk
- Abstract
The article discusses the field of nanophotonics, which combines nanotechnology with optics to develop new ways of generating, manipulating, and detecting light. The International Conference on Metamaterials, Photonics Crystals, and Plasmonics (META) is an annual conference that brings together researchers to share the latest developments in the field. The article highlights various research topics presented at the conference, including inverse design techniques, next-generation communications, signal propagation, waveguides, photoluminescence, photon detection, acousto-optic modulation, 2D materials, topological physics, metasurfaces, and the use of machine learning and artificial intelligence. The article concludes by expressing gratitude to the authors for their contributions to the field of nanophotonics.
