- Abstract
The article offers information on the variations of human thermal climates in Egypt. Based on the clo index values of different clothings used by the population in Egypt, the relation of climate to human temperature during daytime and nighttime time was examined. Clo is a unit of thermal insulation that resists the heat transfer by clothing. The study shows that Egypt is characterized by extreme cold weather during winter nighttime, while a tropical climate is experienced during summer daytime. Seventy-one percent area of the country requires comfortable weather wear during summer nighttime. The study is useful for understanding human thermal comfort.
