- Title
Canada needs a vision for child health.
- Authors
Picard, André
- Abstract
The author argues that Canada needs a vision for child health as he alleges that the country does not have a commitment to raising healthy children at the societal level. He observes that the Canadian health care focuses too much on treatment and too little on prevention. He also informs that 11 Canadian provincial and territorial jurisdictions have a representative of child and youth but none at the federal level, resulting in Canada's children getting short shrift in public policy.
