- Abstract
Abstract: To examine how physicians at different training levels accepted the hepatitis B vaccine (Heptavax), we mailed questionnaires to all medical students, residents, and faculty at our university medical center. Eighty-one per ¢ responded; 57 per ¢ of those had been vaccinated. Attitudes of vaccine safety and efficacy and the perception of increased risk of getting hepatitis B were associated with having been vaccinated. The associations were strongest for the faculty and weak or negative for the medical students. (Am J Public Health 1988; 78:973-974.)
