The authors discusses the treatment of IgA nephropathy patients through the use of corticosteroids, referencing a study in the issue titled "TESTING Study Group. Effect of oralmethylprednisolone on clinical outcomes in patients with IgA nephropathy: the TESTING randomized clinical trial," by J. Lv, H. Zhang and W.G. Wong. The aforementioned study's use of clinical trials to test the efficacy of corticosteroids to treat IgA nephropathy, including for possible harm, is discussed.
