The article offers information on cultivating historical thinking in primary education through place-based learning. Topics include how Ballarat Grammar's Year four campus uses an emergent curriculum of inquiry to learn about Indigenous culture and history; how places change over time; and how a small regional primary school in Victoria formed valuable connections with the residents at their local aged care facility to learn about change.
