- Abstract
The article looks at social cohesion in Germany. Particular focus is given to issues surrounding social stratification. The authors suggest that between 2005 and 2008, perceptions of political and economic conflict increased slightly, while perceptions of generational, ethnic, gendered, regional, and employment-related conflict decreased slightly. Details related to income distribution are presented . Other topics include crime, differences between East and West Germany, the naturalization of immigrants, and trust.
