- Abstract
The article offers information on the medical case of an uncommon skin metastasis from squamous cell carcinoma (SCC) of the esophagus. The skin metastasis was observed in the esophagus of a 62-year-old who was admitted with dysphagia to solids. The patient was treated on palliative chemotherapy with Taxol and Carboplatin. According to the authors, the emergence of such cutaneous could be attributed to a more stringent local attack in form of adjuvant and neoadjuvant chemoradiation. The authors suggested that a complete medical history, physical examination and adjunctive radiographic studies are important in the evaluation of distant failures that indicate poor prognosis.
