The study deals with one of the types of social Care establishments, namely, the sabil or Çeşme, which provides watering to passers-by, in order to win the reward from God. This study aims at shedding light on this type of social care buildings and means of supplying water to the first capital of the Ottoman Empire, The social classes that contributed to its architecture, and the architectural and artistic influences that were affected by the watering social care buildings during the Ottoman period.
