- Abstract
The article presents a case study of a 38-year-old man with complaints of weakness, hematuria, headache, and visual deficits. The patient was diagnosed with acute promyelocytic leukemia (APL) and has developed differentiation syndrome (DS) after receiving induction therapy with all-trans retinoic acid (ATRA) plus anthracycline-based chemotherapy. The patient was kept on nonmechanical ventilation and dexamethasone was started and improvement in pulmonary infiltrates was observed.
