- Abstract
The “Child-Therapist Relationship in Coactive Musical Experience Scale” has been used since the 1960s in the United States. This scale assesses for seven degree levels the participation and the quality of resistivity observed during a Music Therapy service. Conversely, to have this tool being used in Brazil, a validation process is necessary. In order to do this validation process, the Universalist Validation Model was chosen. Based on this, we measured the equivalence of measuring the scale through the inter-examiner reliability test based on the analysis of videos of Music Therapy sessions performed for people with Neurodevelopmental Disorders. Inter-examiner scores showed strong mean correlations (Spearman), indicating evidence of reliability for the Brazilian version of the Child-Therapist Relationship in Coactive Musical Experience Scale.
