- Title
Our Father Abraham: Jewish Roots of the Christian Faith.
- Abstract
The chapter sets out a "Hebraic mindset" as Wilson enthuses about the economy of expression in Hebrew and the beauty of the poetry of the Psalms. In Chapter Two, Wilson re-emphasizes the importance of gentile Christians acknowledging the Jewish origins of their faith. Wilson suggests seven guidelines for restoring the Old Testament to its proper place in the church, including recognizing that Jesus and the early Church read the Old Testament; that it is the theological key for understanding the New; and that Jesus himself was Jewish.
