- Abstract
The article looks at the family of Jewish Canadian Justice Samuel Davies Schultz in the years following his death in 1917. It discusses how his widow, Maude Dunwell Schultz, a nurse, relieved local hospitals by opening up her home as a private hospital, the author states that it was later turned into a school for girls. It also looks at the careers of his three sons who became forestry engineers, a soldier in the Royal Canadian Artillery Regiment during World War II, and a judge.
