- Abstract
The article discusses how needlestick injuries affect the sanitation workers (SW) in Mexico City. It mentions that contaminated sharp objects transmit bloodborne pathogens such as HIV, Hepatitis B virus, and Hepatitis C virus. It conducts a non-random study on 69 SW who was selected from 13 of the 16 Mexico City districts. The Research Oversight Committee of the National Immunization Council approved the said study.
