- Abstract
The article discusses the need of dealing with the problem of oil spills by the petroleum industry in Canada. It states historical aspects of oil spill, like BP's Cherry Point refinery, that spilled several thousand liters of crude oil into the Pacific Ocean, and mentions that a submerged tugboat spilled diesel fuel near the town of Bella Coola. It notes cleaning up marine oil spills has not been dealt properly by governments, citing role of Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.
