The article discusses the legal aspects of patent disclosures in America as of 2016, and it mentions U.S. patent law and nontechnical disclosures which are defined as the information contained in patent documents that does not address how inventions are made or used. Incentives to invent and disclose information are examined, along with a patent-related prospect theory. According to the article, American patent law forces inventors to disclose how their inventions work.
