The article discusses the enforcement of the consumer lending laws in Vermont as of 2017, and it mentions predatory lending laws in the state, the U.S. Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act, and the failure of other American states to respond to problems involving predatory lenders.
