- Abstract
The Thackray catalogues otherwise do not contain any reference to St Mark's retractors until the 1955 edition, where two sizes of a St Mark's Hospital pattern retractor are catalogued ( I Fig i .). Seward Thackray still has St Mark's retractors in their catalogue, and their retractors are a part of the standard instrument tray currently used at St Mark's Hospital[13].
