- Abstract
The article discusses the role of free choice in the responso "Sefer ha'ikarim" ("Book of Principles") by Jewish philosopher Joseph Albo. It also addresses the treatment of remarriage by a katlanit (killer wife or twice-widowed woman) in post-talmudic Jewish law, Albo's views on martyrdom and free will, and the relation between halakhah and philosophical concepts. The article also discusses the views of the halakhist Duran (Rashbats) on remarriage by a katlanit.
