The article discusses the response of law enforcement in the opioid abuse crisis in the U.S. in the early 21st century, focusing on U.S. federal government investigations and prosecutions led by the U.S. Attorney's Office (USAO) and the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) in Connecticut and Washington, D.C. and the role that criminal law can play in fighting the crisis.
