The article focuses on providing a fuller account of the Tempest, a play written n by William Shakespeare, by minimizing catastrophes at Jamestown, Virginia. Topics discussed include the episode of mass starvation during the winter of 1609–1610 as a direct consequence of the Bermuda shipwreck, financial and reputational crisis and optimistic theatrical vision of colonialism.
