- Abstract
The article focuses on a research regarding the function and structure of alpha-1,3-glucanase from Bacillus circulans KA-304, an enzyme required for degrading cell walls of Basidiomycete. It informs that the alpha-1,3-glucanase enzyme contains N-terminal discoidin domain (DS1), threonine and proline repeats (TPs) and a carbohydrate binding module family 6 (CB6). It also mentions that combined actions of DS1 CB6 and TPs result in cell-wall binding.
