- Title
Advanced Software Quality Assurance Developments for Munitions.
- Abstract
The bulletin of the U.S. Army reported that the Technical Office of the Product Assurance Directorate, at the Army Munitions and Chemical Command, Dover, New Jersey, site has initiated several projects that will enhance both hardware manufacturing and software development through the use of computer-aided techniques. The first project is an expert system for Statistical Process Control (SPC) or an SPC Assistant. The SPC Assistant is a PC-based software system which will acquire and analyze specific and general knowledge related to the manufacturing processes. By correlating SPC data with environmental data, problem solutions can be deduced as they occur during the manufacturing process.
