In the current work, 10 secondary metabolites, including ursolic acid ( B 1 b ), oleanolic acid ( B 2 b ), oleanolic acid 3 I O i - -Dglucopyranoside ( B 3 b ), I n i -tricosanoic acid ( B 4 b ), 2,3,4-trihydroxyoctacosanoic acid ( B 5 b ), caffeic acid ( B 6 b ), gallic acid ( B 7 b ), ellagic acid ( B 8 b ), stigmast-7-en-3 -ol ( B 9 b ), and jatrorrhizine ( B 10 b ), were extracted, isolated, and separated from the 90% aqueous ethanolic extracts of I P. pumila i seeds. A portion of the I n i -BuOH soluble fraction (labeled PPSB) was subjected to silica gel column chromatography with MeOH-CHCl SB 3 sb (97:3->3:97) as the gradient solvent system to give seven main fractions, PPSB SB 1 sb -PPSB SB 7 sb , which were monitored and grouped by thin-layer chromatography experiments [[16]].
