- Abstract
The article focuses on communication within organizations. It states that there are two important occasions for communication in organizations: the communication of decisions meant to control activities of employees, and communications of propaganda meant to alter or strengthen employee attitudes. It mentions both forms of communication utilize both verbal and non-verbal symbols. It examines variables which are important to the decision-making process. It comments on the use of symbols to convey information to appeal to a person's emotions as well as a basis for reasoning.
