- Abstract
The authors discuss the first population of endophytic bacteria's soil origin, which is celebrating its 125th year of discovery by M. L. V. Galippe. They say that Galippe isolated microorganisms gathered from an experimental garden in Gannevilliers in Paris, France. Galippe described the existence of microorganisms with plant hosts and the colonization of plants. They adds that Galippe's is overdue for rehabilitation since his research was criticized and forgotten.
