- Abstract
In this article, the author condenses her long version of the sealers histories into an outline of events before and after the small military outpost was established at King George Sound, and presents biographies of the sea-roaming sealers whom she calls the Breaksea Islanders. It mentions about the narrative of Tasmanian Aboriginal women, the African Americans, a small child and others, and to decentre figures such as Major Edmund Lockyer and the colonial narrative.
