- Authors
Long, Avizia
- Abstract
The author cites several Spanish phonetics textbooks and discusses their usefulness for instructors as well as their limitations; she concludes with a detailed description of how instructional materials can be developed for learners' accurate pronunciation of the voiceless stops. The author further identifies and describes the visualization, imaging, and social media tools available for pronunciation instruction, and describes how to incorporate these technologies practically into the teaching of Spanish pronunciation. Of note in this chapter is the description of teacher education on Spanish pronunciation internationally, highlighting the lack of adequate materials for teacher training.
