- Abstract
The company GEA is planning to build a technology center on its campus in Janesville, Wisconsin. The center, called Foodtech-Hub, is intended to enable the piloting of plant-based, microbial, or cell-based foods. Using company-owned technologies such as bioreactors and mixing and sterilization systems, new foods for industrial production will be developed. The groundbreaking is scheduled for spring 2024, with the opening a year later. The company also aims to promote knowledge exchange and the qualification of professionals in biotechnology through the technology center.
