- Abstract
The emphasıs of devotion to sunnah of the Prophet is one of the subjects that Islamic scholars have been paying attention to since their early years. "el-iʿtisâm bi'l-kitâb ve's-sünne", the Quran and the Prophet's Sunnah to devotion / cling is expressed in the Classical Islamic sources. Some hadith scholars such as Buhari (256/870) had dealed with under an independent title in their works. Some scholars have also worked under the headings of lüzûmu's-sünne, ittibâu's-sünne or el-istimsâk bi'lkitâb and ve's-sünne and even in separate books. It is seen that the dates of subject of devotion to the Koran and the Prophet have been intensively dealt by the third H. / ninth A.D. centuries. Manastirli Ismail Hakki with his works in the field of Theology (d. 1912); examined the subject of devotion to the Sunnah of the Prophet at the last chapter of his work called Mevâidü'l-İnʿâm (in the "hâtime"). The work of Manastirli, Mevaid al-Inam, was decided to be taught as a textbook in military and private high schools and later in all high schools.
