- Title
How Do You Track Lung Tumor Motion? A Critical Question With Competing Answers.
- Authors
Martin, Mike
- Abstract
The article discusses the importance for the tracking of lung tumor motion. It says that the diaphragm and the carina, a cartilaginous ridge that divides the trachea into the primary bronchi are the proposed anatomic surrogates for lung tumor motion. Suresh Senan and his colleagues said that the best surrogate is the carina with caveat which they presented on September 2009 at the European Society for Therapeutic Radiology and Oncology in Maastricht, The Netherlands.
