- Abstract
The article presents author's views on the article related to the need for conceptual clarity in defining response shift published in previous issue. According to him the authors should be commended for initiating a debate on the topic but refutes part of their criticism. He states that term response shift is currently being associated with distinct phenomena. For him the authors have rightly pointed out that it is due to changing values that people adapt to illness and exhibit response shift.
