Is recommending breaks in sedentary behavior effective for improving health-related outcomes?
- Authors
Jakicic, John M.
- Abstract
The author discusses whether recommending breaks in sedentary behavior is efficacious for enhancing health-related outcomes. He cites the article "Meta-analysis of the relationship between breaks in sedentary behavior and cardiometabolic health," by S. F. M. Chastin et al. He adds that observational research did not support that breaks in sedentary behavior are linked to cardiometabolic health parameters.
