- Abstract
The high school students and parents invest considerable time and money to go to a top-ranked university, hoping for more return in the future. Therefore, we should evaluate what type of college entrance exam maximizes return on investment. In this context, this study analyzed the labor market outcomes by the college entrance exam types using Graduates Occupational Mobility Survey (GOMS). The results are as follows: early admission applicant has more possibility of having jobs relative to regular admission applicants, due to the low reservation wage.. However, the hourly wage rate were higher in the regular admission applicant group. The previous study, Jo et al. (2021), reported regular admission applicant group invest more private education and time. Combining the result of our study and Jo et al. (2021), we can infer that the educational investment of highschool students and parents is efficient.
