- Abstract
The article discusses music composition and forensic analysis of early music compositions. The author discusses the composition "Agnus Dei III" from composer Josquin's "Missa L'homme armé sexti toni." The author examines the composition of the theme from "Song Stories for the Kindergarten" by composer Mildred J. Hill. The author argues for increased forensic analysis to determine how Renaissance music compositions were made, more musical performances informed by such analysis, and increased collaboration between musical performers and musicologists in order to improve the blending of idea and sound.
