- Title
Don't Tell the Children.
- Authors
Davis, Barbara S.
- Abstract
The focal point of this action research project is to evaluate whether or not sheltering young students by not telling them the truth in times of tragedy is a disservice to them. The author questions where the fine line is drawn for protecting a child's innocence versus providing them with a realistic education that leads to the beginning of meaning in their lives, edging toward the assumption of the role of a responsible citizen. She believes this maturity is the virtual proficiency test.
