- Title
JUVENILE COURT JUDGES.
- Abstract
This article focuses on the winter 1972 issue of the Juvenile Court Judges Journal which addressed issues concerning the juvenile justice system in the U.S. Every judge who suddenly finds himself confronted with the unfamiliar complexities of the juvenile justice system must of necessity feel at once lonely, confused and inadequate until time and experience have wrought a more comfortable adjustment. This special issue was devoted to the philosophy and theory of the juvenile court, the role of the juvenile court judge, the constitution, due process and changing times, rules of practice and procedure, detention and shelter use and practice, neglect, dependency, child abuse and protective services, and juvenile court administration.
