- Abstract
The Comparative Grammar of Acadian and Louisiana French. With an overview of Newfoundland (Acronym: GraCoFAL) is a descriptive comparative synchronic grammar of Acadian French, Louisiana French, and Newfoundland French, three North American varieties of French. The authors pursue a pan-Francophone interest with their grammar. GraCoFAL is not a grammar in the strict sense, but a morphosyntax. The grammar is divided into three main sections: noun phrase, verb phrase, and sentence. GraCoFAL is based on extensive corpus data and provides a comparative view of diachronically connected language structures.
