- Authors
Devet, Bonnie
- Abstract
The article focuses on teaching business students how to introduce a speaker. It states that the performing of the role of introducer will help reinforce rhetorical principles that are key to any business writing course, including the need for ethos, audience-based discourse, and accuracy. It suggests that students introducing speakers should provide background on the speakers and establish their qualifications to speak on the topic at hand. It comments that the introducer's job is to give the audience reasons to listen and to demonstrate the relevance of the speaker's topic.
